Joseph Bulova opened a small jewelry store in New York City. In 1911 Joseph began manufacturing desk clocks and nice pocket watches. Soldiers returning from the war brought their watches home creating a new trend.
Bulova manufactured wristwatches, specialized timepieces, aircraft instruments and torpedo mechanisms for the military. This contract of course allowed Bulova’s business to boom.
In 1950 Bulova completed the development of the first electronic watch. Due to their innovation and growth Bulova offers a wide range of elegant dress watches, casual watches, and sport watches.

The Bulova watch company was founded in 1923 and is one of the most respected names there has ever been in the watch industry. This has played a part in the Swiss watch being noted for supreme quality.
With today’s watches Bulova you will find an absolutely vast array of choices in both design and style. Many people prefer the self winding type of watch because it is essentially maintenance free. On the upper side of the scale, these watches may be made out of such desirable materials as 14K white gold and inlaid with natural round cut diamonds.
Although most people think of electric watches as just getting their power from small, replaceable batteries found within the watches themselves, Bulova watches pioneered the quartz technology; and this technology has played a major role in the development and eventual perfecting of integrated circuits.
